Rhyl 10- 10 Wrexham

The Dragons began the second half of the league season by making the short trip to Eirias Park to complete their nomadic existence before beginning life at the Tynewydd road ground on the 29th of this month. Rhyl took on League leaders Wrexham on the 4G pitch in a game that despite the weather proved to be an exciting and physical encounter. The home side began slowly and a couple of easy penalty's allowed the visitors field position from which they opened the scoring with an unconverted try. Rhyl soon settled into the game and started to play some excellent rugby and after some surging runs from forwards James Fisher Jones, Callum Morris and Anthony Tilley, wing Reeve Wright went over in the corner after another of his clinical finishes

The second half started in much the same fashion as the first with an early score for the visitors, followed by long periods of Rhyl pressure with great defending by the home side when needed by the excellent Ben Jones and Jason Blackmore. Rhyl levelled the game with a well worked score from wing Che Hudson and nearly took the win at the death only to see a late penalty sail wide.  Both sides  can take great credit for an entertaining match in difficult conditions well refereed by Simon Dignam.

Rhyls next game will be at Tynewydd Fields on the 29th of December against local rivals Abergele.

Rhyl youth travelled to Bala and came away with an impressive 33-0 win.
