Message from Richard Greenwood

Saturday night's Celebration Dinner was a truly first-class occasion and I would like to thank everyone who took part for helping to making it so. The Club was looking at its very best, the audience was brilliantly receptive and Warren Gatland was a charming, witty and insightful guest of honour. My thanks to Lee Blackmore, our resident impresario - what a coup to bring such a world-class figure to Rhyl to provide such rich entertainment - and to all the staff, led by Kevin and Karen, who worked so hard to make the evening run so smoothly.

And, of course, an enormous thank you to my daughter, Emma, who gave such a brilliant tribute speech - I should be so lucky to be treated so wonderfully well!

I can confidently tell you that receiving the OBE from the Queen was super special, but last Saturday night in Rhyl was my cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake! Oh, and by the way, the engraved miner's lamp you gave me is the best presentation gift I have ever received.

With grateful thanks    -    Richard Greenwood
