I think its fair to say that Rhyl took a bit of a mauling in todays game, against a very strong Bangor side, who out played Rhyl in every aspect of the game. From the first whistle, it was clear Rhyl were going to have a tough time, with a few early tries from Bangor. As the game progressed, The Rhyl side put in a valient effort to defend the try line, but Bangor managing to find a route through the line. When Rhyl went on the attack, there was great pace from a number of players, however, these were short lived and intercepted and turned over by Bangor. There were a few great phases of play by the Rhyl side, when the ball was recycled well, passed out into space and the boys really worked as a team, which resulted in two very well deserved try for the team, with the ball being carried over the line by Elis Scourfield and Harley Griffiths. New boy Harvey Davies, made an impact on the game, getting stuck in to the action, putting in some good tackles and narrowly missing a try of his own. Standing out from todays game, was Edward Tonks, who showed consistancy, carrying the ball forward, with good pace and very aware of what was going on around him Man of the Match Edward Tonks
