The first game for the U7/U8s has been a long time in the waiting. Many players had watched for years on the touchlines as their older brothers and sisters played for Rhyl. Now it was their turn, their day. And they did not disappoint. Losing by only one score to an excellent Bethesda team, our 18 strong squad put all of their training into practice and played some wonderful rugby. Credit must be given to a fantastic Bethesda set up, including encouraging parents and an excellent coach. Played in the spirit which rugby surely must be played in, everybody had a great time and everybody had the opportunity to take ball in hand and play our beautiful game. We are immensely proud of our squad today and are very grateful to all the parents and coaches that make this possible. We all know that rugby gives more than just running around a pitch. Today we saw this illustrated. Long may this continue.
**Player of the week goes to Isabel McKenna for her incredible commitment, brilliant skills and wonderful character. Well done Izzy!**
