Rhyl6 - 69 Denbigh

Rhyl welcomed Denbigh to the Waen for their second home game of the season.

The game started with some tight exchanges. The Young Rhyl team started with intent and looked to be containing the potent Denbigh backline. Denbigh's slick backs eventually started to find their hands and took Denbigh in at half time 24-6 up.

Rhyl started the second half with lots of promise as they were making good headway with ball In hand. Denbigh's and Rhyls forwards were going toe to toe at scrum time both giving either backline strong platforms to play. Eventually the mistakes started to creep in from the Fatigued Rhyl team and the slick backs started to let loose. Running away with a comfortable win in the end.

Not a good day at the office for Rhyl. Still positives to be taken with scrum and Line out improvements and plenty of players to come back over the coming weeks. Rhyl Travel to Cobra next week for another tough test whilst the unbeaten seconds are away to Caernarfon RFC.
