Rhyl 26 Llangollen 3
Rhyl got back to winning ways at the Waen on Saturday with a hard fought win in difficult conditions.  The early stage of the game was an equal affair with both side looking to impose their tactics on the game, Rhyl were trying hard to play their usual expansive game on a heavy pitch that suited Llans bigger pack however some good phase play saw the impressive Dru Roberts go over for the first of his brace.  Llangollen replied with with a penalty soon after for what was to be their only score of the day.  The dragons then started to impose themselves on the game with stand off Jason Blackmore dictating play in an impressive performance.  Rhyls forwards were now in control with the tireless Greg Proffit in particular tackling anything that moved.  Hooker Cail Hughes scored after a close range drive and winger Stuart Fell Crook rounded off the scoring for the all important bonus point.  Three of the try's were converted by Blackmore, and despite some concerted effort from Llangollen late on Rhyls excellent defence held firm  Rhyls coaching staff of Seb Vidal and Mike Batey were delighted with the attitude and application of their young side.
