Fixture

Rhyl travelled to Ruthin in a rearranged fixture as our programmed fixture against Mold was postponed due to them being on tour. Ruthin played their development squad that was short of players so several Rhyl players volunteered for the home team. Rhyl started the stronger of the two teams scoring a couple of early tries before Ruthin rallied and scored a couple of tries themselves. Rhyl produced a few more scores to go into halftime 30-10 up.

After several halftime substitutions, Rhyl once more started the half the stronger. Some good running rugby from both teams led to some very good tries entertaining the watching parents. Rhyl went on to win the game with the final score, Ruthin 25 Rhyl 60. The training game was played with a great spirit by all the players with some excellent rugby on show, thanks to Ruthin for hosting the game at short notice.
